Welcome to AI Staffroom ("the Service"). By creating an account or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. About the Service

AI Staffroom is an AI-powered productivity tool built for Australian teachers. It helps you generate lesson plans, report comments, marking feedback, assessment tasks, and other classroom materials aligned to curriculum outcomes.

The Service is operated by AI Staffroom (ABN 92 368 787 395), an Australian education technology company registered in New South Wales. For questions, contact us at hello@theaistaffroom.com.

2. Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it if anything changes.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. AI-Generated Content

AI Staffroom uses large language models to generate content. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated outputs may contain errors, inaccuracies, or content that requires professional review before use.
• You are responsible for reviewing and editing any content before sharing it with students, parents, or colleagues.
• AI Staffroom does not guarantee that generated content meets your school's specific policies, or any regulatory requirements.
• Content generated is not a substitute for your professional judgment as a teacher.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful, educational purposes. You must not:

• Attempt to misuse, reverse engineer, or exploit the Service.
• Share your account with others or allow unauthorised access.
• Use the Service to generate content that is harmful, discriminatory, or in breach of Australian law.
• Circumvent usage limits or billing controls.

5. Plans, Billing & Cancellation

AI Staffroom offers a Free plan with limited monthly generations, and a Pro plan with expanded access. Pricing is displayed on the website and may change with notice.

• Free plan: Limited to a set number of AI generations per month. Resets on the 1st of each month.
• Pro plan: Billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your account settings.
• Credit top-ups: Purchased credits are non-refundable once used.
• Cancellation: Cancelling your Pro subscription takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain Pro access until then.
• Refunds: We offer refunds within 7 days of your first Pro subscription charge if you have not used more than 10 generations.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. AI Staffroom does not store your card details.

6. Referral Programme

You may earn free Pro months by referring other teachers to AI Staffroom. Referral rewards are issued at our discretion and subject to eligibility. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the referral programme at any time.

7. Your Data

We store your account information and saved resources on secure Australian servers. We do not sell your personal data to third parties and we do not use your data to train AI models.

AI-generation requests may be processed by a third-party AI provider. You should not include student personal information in any prompt — only the prompt and resource content needed for generation is sent to the AI provider.

You own the content you save in the Service. We may use anonymised, aggregated usage data to improve the product.

8. Intellectual Property

The AI Staffroom platform, branding, and code are owned by AI Staffroom. Content you generate using the Service belongs to you, subject to the terms of any underlying AI model providers.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, AI Staffroom is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Service and may perform maintenance or updates from time to time.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
